Apeiron: Top Level “The Wave” Build (Counter AC5)

Explore "The Wave" build, the ultimatum counter to AC5

Learn from Naelith from Bood Nation to secure your victory to glory, crypto and NFTs in this Aperion NFT Web3 guide. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the strategy that helped Bood Nation achieved the second position in the AGW season.

The goal was to qualify for the Hong Kong Web3 Esports qualifier, and Bood Nation did so by finishing just behind METAT8, led by 1437, with a very close point difference. This success was the result of the team’s dedication and hard work throughout the month.

Creating “The Wave”

“The Wave” is the fruit of Bood Nation researches and developments for new and unique compositions. This composition was not being used by any other team in the top ladder, which gave Bood Nation a strategic advantage. Here’s an in-depth explanation of how “The Wave” works:

Planet 9237 Configuration

The NFT planet used for this composition is a Forestry. The setup involves the following Skill Tree and Apostle configurations:

Two blinks are used for strategic movement around the map.

Strategy Overview

The strategy revolves around the use of NFT Apostle Hunters and Priests, with key cards being Root Trap, Boom Shot, and Night of the Hunt. Another Priest with Shadowy Tendrils, Circle of Healing, and Retribution complements the team. The Hunters are equipped with Boom Shot, Hawk Eye, Root Trap, and Night of the Hunt.

Countering the Dominant Meta

“The Wave” was developed to counter the prevalent AC5 feathers, which had no effective counters at the time. The combination of “The Wave” and Priests provided a strong counter.

The objective is to defend and extend the game to the late stages, using “The Wave” for healing and stunning opponents, while delivering strong basic attacks to eliminate Apostles or pressure the opponent.

Match Setup

In matches, Apostle placement is adjusted based on the opponent’s team. Typically, we position double Priests at the back, a Rogue in front, and a Hunter in the middle. Depending on the opponent’s composition, more Hunters might be used. For instance, if the opponent has EC6 or EC5 that blocks healing, we replace Priests with Hunters to maintain mobility and deny the opponent any advantage.

If you’d like to replicate this setup, reroll your seed Apostles or purchase NFT Apostles on the Apeiron NFT Marketplace. Check out our Apeiron guide here on how you can also Counter AC5 With ONE Card!
