The creators of Pixels, the popular Ethereum-based farming game, have announced Pixel Dungeons, a competitive dungeon crawler built on the Ronin network. This spinoff game allows players to earn PIXEL tokens through dungeon-based combat and strategic gameplay, marking a new chapter in the Pixels ecosystem.

Dungeon-Based Gameplay and Rewards

Developed in partnership with Crack and Stack, Pixel Dungeons offers fast-paced challenges where players have two minutes to:

  • Mine PIXEL tokens.
  • Defeat goblins using TNT.
  • Avoid lava and sabotage rivals.

Players can claim treasures while navigating dangerous dungeons, blending crypto rewards with strategic competition.

A Growing PIXEL Ecosystem

Pixel Dungeons showcases the first publishing partnership for the Pixels team, part of their mission to expand the PIXEL token ecosystem. “The PIXEL token remains central to everything we build—allowing players to earn and use tokens across an ecosystem of games,” said Pixels founder and CEO Luke Barwikowski.Pixels continues to grow, boasting 200,000 monthly active spenders and distributing 22 million PIXEL tokens (valued at $5 million) in November, with players reinvesting approximately half back into the game.

Beta Access and What’s Next

The closed beta for Pixel Dungeons begins Monday, with access determined by reputation scores in the Pixels ecosystem. Players with scores above 3,000 can explore free and premium maps early.This release follows the recent launch of Pixels Tap Track, a Telegram-based game that will integrate PIXEL rewards in the future, further advancing Web3 gaming visibility.
