Ragnarok Landverse Expands to Ethereum Gaming Network Ronin

Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis launches on Ronin in 2025, blending classic MMORPG gameplay with blockchain rewards and features.

Ragnarok: Landverse, a blockchain-enhanced MMORPG inspired by the classic Ragnarok Online, will launch on the Ronin gaming network in early 2025. This Ethereum sidechain, home to games like Pixels and Axie Infinity, represents a new chapter for Landverse as it transitions from its initial soft launch on BNB Chain.

Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis on Ronin

The Ronin version, Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis, will serve as a “fresh start” for the game, with assets from other servers not initially transferable but expected to migrate to Ronin in the future. Incorporating blockchain features like mineable resources and token rewards, the game maintains the free-to-play spirit of the original Ragnarok Online, which debuted in 2002.

Pre-registration is now open, with players able to connect their Ronin wallets for potential rewards before launch.

Building on Blockchain Success

Developed by Maxion in collaboration with Gravity, Ragnarok Landverse has already generated $15 million in NFT sales and attracted over 400,000 players. Maxion’s parent company, Zentry, will also join the Ronin network as a validator node, further cementing its commitment to Web3 gaming.

This launch marks the second Ragnarok game on Ronin, following Ragnarok: Monster World, a mobile game inspired by Clash Royale.
