Apeiron: Complete Beginner’s PvP Guide

Learn how to play Apeiron in this upcoming bull run! One of the best Web3 games on Ronin Blockchain.

Welcome to the Complete Beginner’s Guide to Apeiron PVP! At E4E we strive to give you the best Web3 guides, Web3 games and Web3 news. This guide will provide you with all the basic information needed to start your Apeiron adventures and climb the leaderboard. The topics covered are as follows.

What is Apeiron PVP?

Apeiron PVP is a real-time arena where you build and customize a composition to battle against another player in a best-of-three match. A composition consists of your avatar, which is your main character, and four Apostles. The goal is to defeat the other player in a best-of-three match. The first person to defeat the other player’s avatar wins a point.

How to Get Started

To get started, you need to create a team. Follow these steps:

  1. Select Your Avatar: Avatars come from planet NFTs that you can purchase from the Apeiron NFT Marketplace. If you don’t own a planet NFT, there are free seed planets available to start playing the game.
  2. Select Your Apostles: These are your companions that you will bring into your matches. You can bring up to six Apostles into a battle. Apostles move and attack automatically, but they have active skill cards, just like your avatar. Their cards and the avatar’s cards compose your deck. You can also purchase powerful Apostle NFT’s on the NFT marketplace with predetermined cards.

Gameplay

When you enter a battle, you’ll encounter three phases:

Formation Phase

    • Choose four of your six Apostles and position them along with your avatar.

Battle Phase

    • UI Overview: Your avatar’s health bars, your Apostles’ health bars, your hand, and your mana. Your avatar’s energy bar (for casting Boon abilities with the E button), and the Dash cooldown indicator.
    • Starting the Battle: When the battle starts, you’ll draw four out of the five leftmost cards on your avatar and each Apostle as your starting hand. Both players play out their skills, maneuver their avatars, and take down enemies.
    • Controlling Units: You only control the movement of your avatar; your Apostles move automatically.
    • Playing Cards: Playing cards costs mana, which is generated passively. Cards are played by dragging to aim. You can discard unwanted cards by dragging them to the bottom right-hand corner, costing one mana.
    • Ring of Death: As the battle progresses, a ring of death (like in a battle royale) will appear and gradually shrink, dealing constant damage to units outside the ring.

End Phase

    • The battle ends when either avatar is defeated, and both players are brought back to the formation phase.

Planet NFTs

Planet NFTs provide avatars for gameplay. An avatar can be one of three classes: The Fate, The Fury, and The Wisdom. Each class has unique skills. Currently, only the Wisdom skill tree is available in the game. Planets have three main stats:

  • Elemental Value (Elemental Distribution)
  • Birth Skills
  • Birth Perks

Birth skills and perks provide extra skill points and benefits.

The Skill Tree

The skill tree is the most impactful customization you can make to your team. There are four elements on the skill tree:

  1. Fire: Focuses on dealing more damage.
  2. Water: Deals with sustain and mana generation.
  3. Earth: Emphasizes tankiness, reducing damage taken, increasing HP, and HP regen.
  4. Air: Represents speed, offering movement speed, extra effects for your dash, and effects based on distance traveled.

Investing in birth skills and perks gives exponential returns, while investing in skills offers linear improvements. Each cluster of the skill tree unlocks with a certain number of allocated points.

Conclusion

This game combines high-speed competition, deep tactics, and a unique Web3 touch, which is very exciting. I hope you’ve learned something valuable for your Apeiron PVP journey!
