What is EC1?
Earth C1 “Rock’n’Roll” is a starter ability that summons a boulder that the caster can aim at Avatars, Apostles or terrain. This versatile skill can be extremely disruptive to the enemy Avatar and Apostles and also provide opportunities of defensive play.
The boulder deals 200% INT magic damage to enemies hit whilst knocking them aside. The boulder slows down by 25% as it travels or by 100% when it impacts an enemy or terrain. After the boulder is stopped it stays on the battlefield until it breaks or is detonated. It will have 30% of your Avatar’s attribute and decays by 6.5% every second.

Versatility is Key
It has multiple uses for offensive play and defensive play. In this current meta it is extremely powerful for several reasons:
- EC1 Upgrade 1 provides a heal of 1.8% max hp to your Avatar and Apostles when the boulder detonates. This type of sustained healing can keep you in the fight for longer, or save you in a tricky spot.
- EC1 Upgrade 2 stuns nearby enemies for 1 second when the boulder is halted. Stunning your enemies and controlling their position is extremely important in Apeiron as you can set up combos, deny enemy casting skills from or to protect your avatar from taking damage.
- EC1 Upgrade 3 returns the skill card to the top of your deck with a reduced mana cost of 1 after the boulder detonates, the icing on the cake with this is that you can send a barrage of boulders if your timing is right and cause even more chaos when coupled with the Rogue skill card “Card Shark”.
- The boulder can be used as a pillar to line of sight abilities or enemies, combined with the power to control your opponent and create distance this makes the skill indispensable to the game currently.
