Arena Introduction
The Arena is unlocked after you defeat Lava Mine 3/3 and is Guild of Guardians’ PvP mode. Instead of fighting against another player in real time, you will be fighting against a player’s defensive party of 5.
There are 6 ranks in Arena – Baron < Viscount < Count < Marquess < Duke < Lord.
The first time you reach a new rank you will be rewarded with Red Gems and Arena Coins. Everyday at 4am (UTC) you will receive a reward of Red Gems and Arena Coins based on your current rank.
- Arena Tickets refresh at 4am (UTC) and you can fight a maximum of 15 times per day. You can purchase additional Arena Tickets for 100 Red Gems allowing you to progress further up the leaderboard.
- Accumulate Arena Coins to use in the Arena Store to purchase Gold, Power Stones, Calling Crystals, Epic Guardian Chests and for 12,500 Coins you can purchase a random legendary Guardian which isn’t bound by the seasonal summons. This can be an excellent way to earn crypto if you receive a legendary guardian that’s sought after on the NFT marketplace. Minting and selling an NFT allows you to earn cryptocurrency, offering an opportunity to make money from Guild of Guardians. This strategy also applies to most Web3 games, play to earn.
- We advise entering the Arena after Endless Mode when you have advanced your Guardians as much as possible.
Attack Team
Before stepping into the arena you will need to set up your attack team. This follows the same format as Adventure and Endless Mode with some slight variations – you are only allowed to take 5 Guardians into the arena and Command Orders are inactive. Apart from this your Guardian Power, levels, Enlightenment, spells, gear, Domain, faction, resource, class and placements remain the same.
Defense Team
Setting up a solid defense is just as important as winning 10+ games each day. Each time your defense wins or loses, you will gain or lose ranking.
Remembering to set up a solid defense after making any changes to your main party could make the difference between Baron or Viscount.
Choosing an Opponent
Choosing beatable opponents is crucial to increasing your rank in arena mode. Entering a battle to see an opponent’s defense does not cost you an Arena Ticket however, 2 of the 5 Guardians are hidden by fog.
Defeating all 6 opponents without refreshing will reward you with 100 Arena Coins. It is more important to progress higher up the leaderboard than earning dungeon tokens so only do this when you are confident you can beat all 6.
Things to look out for:
- Choose opponents with less Attack Power than your own.
- Avoid defenses who list 4 or more characters from the same Domain – Domain bonuses are not included in the party’s displayed Attack Power.
- Search for opponents who have forgotten to relist their defense after changing Guardians (multiple level 1 characters).
If you are close to increasing your rank, it may be worth waiting until just before the arena resets. This will give you a higher chance to maintain your rank when daily rewards are given as other players will have less time to defeat your defense team.
