Crafting your first ship – The Sloop
If you have been following along with our beginner’s guide to Pirate Nation you should now have enough materials to craft your first ship – The Sloop. The Sloop is currently the “Meta” NFT Ship and will allow you to earn crypto and NFT’s much faster than its counterparts. NFT’s like the Sloop are an integral part in how to earn on Pirate Nation.
If you haven’t already, you’ll first need to craft the “Completed Plan: Sloop” on the Crafting Tab which requires all 4 Sloop Plans. Don’t worry if you have gathered duplicates – Eventually you will need a total of 4 to fully upgrade your Sloop.
Once crafted, don’t forget to set your Sloop as your main ship. You can do this in the decks tab by clicking on your deck, ship and then selecting your Sloop.

The Sloop Ship Equipment
Now that you have your first ship, it’s time for upgrades!
The current available upgrades are as follows:
- Iron Armor NFT – Hardened Shield – 2AP – Blocks 50 Damage
- Iron Sights NFT – Hit the Dry Powder – 1AP – Next Attack this turn deals +50% base Damage
- Iron Cannon NFT – Big Guns – 3AP – Deals 45 direct Damage
- Wooden Helm NFT – Careful Planning – 3AP – Draw an extra card for the next 3 rounds
- Cotton Sail NFT – Act with Haste – 0AP – Add 2 Action Points up to maximum value
The Sloop NFT currently has 2 slots and duplicate attachments give duplicate cards. Please be careful though, once attached, the items cannot be retrieved and will need to be destroyed to swap out your upgrades.
Due to the current meta we recommend adding 2x Iron Armor NFT to your Sloop. This will give your Sloop much more survivability and will allow you to enter and complete the Hard Mode Gauntlet a lot sooner than other ships.
After crafting and upgrading your ship, you should be able to defeat most of the hard world bosses and on certain days clear the hard gauntlet; however, we still recommend obtaining at least pirate level 16 to 18 before attempting hard mode.
For now though, you will want to continue farming the parts to craft sloop NFT’s and leveling your pirate so you can earn in Pirate Nation.
