Pirate Nation: Ultimate Beginners Guide

How to play Pirate Nation guide

Pirate Nation is a casual action-adventure Web3 crypto game that combines resource gathering and card battling to level up your pirate army! The beautiful thing about this game is that it is fully on chain, meaning the majority of items that you gather/craft can be sold on the NFT marketplace for crypto.

Getting Started

To begin your adventure in Pirate Nation you are required to have a referral code. Obtain one from a friend, a content creator or from the Pirate Nation Discord Referral Code channel.

Sign up to Pirate Nation using a Google/Discord account, link your Crypto Wallet and enter your referral code.

Once in the game you are presented with 3 beginner quests, completing the first 2 quests will reward you with your first GEN1 Pirate NFT and a ship NFT.

Once you have your first pirate, make sure to set it as your captain for bonus exp!

Gauntlet

Every 24 hours you are able to run the Gauntlet, a series of daily challenges where players battle increasingly difficult enemies. Completing all stages of the gauntlet will give you experience and valuable resources.

The Gauntlet has 2 difficulties – Normal and Hard. Hard mode costs 500 marks and gives players the most rewards. We do not recommend attempting hard mode until you have crafted your first ship and hit pirate level 16-18.

Make sure to run the Gauntlet each day to maximize your resource and experience gains.

Energy

Your pirate starts out with 150 energy. Completing quests, farming resources and fighting bosses costs energy, which refills completely over 24 hours. It is crucial to optimize your energy usage at the beginning of your pirate adventure.

Farming Resources

Once you have your ship you can head out on the high seas to look for Tier 1 resources like Cotton, Wood, Iron Ore and Marks/Gold. This is one of the most energy friendly ways to obtain resources.

These resources are used to complete quests and bounties.

Quests

Besides the quest “Might be Murdoch’s Training Ground”, quests are a less energy friendly way to gain resources however, are required to gather rare materials that cannot be crafted.

As a beginner you want to complete “Might be Murdoch’s Training Ground” every 24 hours.

Your aim as a beginner should be to begin farming quests that reward you with the items required to complete “It’s a Slippery Sloop”. Completing this quest will eventually allow you to craft the meta ship – The Sloop.

Bounties

Bounties reward players with experience and resources however, unlike quests, they do not require energy to complete. Instead, players must use Marks/Gold to embark on a bounty and wait for their pirate to return to obtain the rewards. Your pirate will still be available to complete all other areas of the game while embarked – so don’t worry.

As a new player you should aim to always have your pirate on a bounty as they are the most energy friendly way to obtain resources and experience. Target bounties that reward you with items needed to complete your priority quests.

Summary
