The Crafting System
The Spores, Guano and Goo system
Spores, Guano, and Goo are the cornerstone of Spore Sports. Planting and harvesting Spores being the main objective of Spore Sports, Guano speeds up Spore growth, and Goo poisons the opponent’s Spores. How you use these 3 items will decide the outcome of a guild battle.
There are different tiers of Spores, Guano, and Goo with increasing effectiveness. T1 and T2 of each can be purchased with coins, T3 with PIXEL tokens. Spore Sports Season 2 introduces T4 which boasts incredible effects.
- T4 Guano: gives spores nearly instantaneous growth.
- T4 Spores: provide 100 points per harvest, compared to T2 (3 points), and T3 (20 points).
- T4 Goo: can instantly kill a Spore, while lower tiers of Goo drains a Spore slowly until it dries out. This allows you to gain a massive advantage when contesting areas with the opposing guild.
T4 items are the ultimate weapons that can instantly turn the tide of a Spore Sports battle. Next, we will look at how to craft these powerful items.
Preparing for T4 Crafting
Before starting T4 crafting, follow these preparatory steps:
- Clear Inventory Space: Ensure you have room for new materials.
- Acquire T2 or T3 materials: These will be upgraded to T4 materials through this process.
- Acquire Basic Axes: Purchase Basic Axes for 10 coins each from the NPC shop. These will provide a multiplier to your coins spent during this crafting process.
- (Optional) Acquire Spore Sports Charms: The crafting benches used to create T4 items have a 24h cooldown. Buy these Charms for 10 Guild Runes each to reset the cooldown & spam crafting T4 items.

Why Basic Axes are optimal:
In the past, Basic Axes had a higher value, and they could be listed on the P2P Marketplace. Currently, it’s no longer possible to list them for sale, and the NPC now sells them for only 10 coins each. However, past listings of the Basic Axes still exist on the marketplace at very high prices (for example, some listings of the Axe go up to 1,200 coins or more).
The Mixer Machines in Spore Sports only accepts items with market value (able to be listed on the marketplace). While the Axe can no longer be put on the marketplace, past listings are still around thus making the Axe a viable ingredient for the Mixer Machines.
This makes the Basic Axes the best ingredient for crafting T4 items, since you can acquire them infinitely from NPC for just 10 Gold, but the Mixer Machines recognize the Axe’s value to be equivalent to the marketplace listings (~1,200 Gold).

The process of T4 Crafting
- Find Mixer Machines: The Mixer Machines are used to craft T4 items. Find these machines in the Spore Sports event area. The machines have a 24 hour cooldown, which can be reset using Spore Sports Charms.
- Start the crafting process: Start a machine by adding 6x T2 material or 1x T3 material.
- Add any item with a market value: The higher the market value of these items, and the more variety of items you add, the more T4 material you will receive. The item we suggest to use for this is Basic Axe. We have found the optimal number of Axes to put in to be 6.
